LyngBox Media, a Swedish company formed specifically to develop and bring to market the LyngBox, in collaboration with LyngSat Network, the biggest independent source of satellite and channel information in the world, and the European Space Agency, Europe-s gateway to space, launched a new generation satellite receiver – the LyngBox, at IBC 2006.

Developed by 27M with high-end specifications such as: DVB-S2/DVB-T dual receiver, HDTV Mpeg 4, built-in HDD, and free access to LyngSat Network services, it will be able to continuously update itself from data published on the internet, thus providing satellite television viewers with a straightforward, complete, and continuously updated solution for all of their viewing needs.

LyngBox solves most common problems as experienced by satellite set top box users. ”LyngBox has access to coverage data from all satellites in the world through LyngSat Maps.
